![]() Step 3 - Earn all 3 Medals on all Challenges, and Complete the 4 Extreme Duels By proceeding in the above order, you will have enough tokens to to purchase the Green Special Ability very early on and the other 3 by the end of the Green Team Challenges.Īs noted in Step 0, avoid using Quick Restart at any time. These must be purchased, using collected tokens, with each costing 120 tokens. ![]() You should also note that you will need the Special Ability for each team in order to earn 3 Medals on all the Challenges. In my opinion, Red Team is by far the hardest of the 4 Teams. While you can tackle the Teams in any order, I recommend the following progression: A number of other trophies will pop naturally during this playthrough. You can also do Special Tokens during this step, following the Special Token Guide to assist you. I have created a Token Tracker to help you maintain count as you progress. Because of the lack of in-game tracking, it will be very difficult later on to remember which levels you have not completed. I would strongly suggest collecting all tokens during your playthrough, and not leaving a Challenge until you have all tokens. Step 2 - Complete all Challenges and Collect all Tokens If you have already started the game, I have noted other locations where you could attempt this or save it for last, delete your save and try it from a clean save. If you fail, by doing this first you could simply delete your save and try again. It also has enough time allowance that you should be able to get all tokens in a single pass. While there are a number of Challenges where you could get this, many are later in the game and if you mess up, you could potentially miss this trophy.įortunately the very first Red Team Challenge, Pass the Test, is short, linear and has all tokens in a row. I would strongly recommend getting this trophy out of the way first. This is because the time is either too short or the tokens are spread out over branching paths. Further complicating things is the fact that most of the Challenges are structured so that you cannot possibly collect all tokens on one run. If you fail the Event, collected tokens do not reappear so you only have one chance on each Challenge to get this trophy. The problem is, once you have collected a token, it is gone for good. This requires you to get all the tokens in a single event in one playthrough (although the trophy description does not note this). There is a single missable trophy in this game which is So Many Tokens, So Little Time. There is no way to track events completed with Quick Restart selected so I would suggest never using this option. ![]() Failing an event and Retrying or selecting Retry from the Results Screen is not a Quick Restart. A Quick Restart is performed by pressing then selecting Retry. Overall with limited replayability, this game is best served as a rental or bargain bin find but not at full retail pricing.įor whatever reason, the developers decided to add trophies for completing Challenges without Quick Restarts. The other 90% of the game will pose very little challenge. ![]() The controls are serviceable but do suffer in the trick events and, as result, the difficult spike ramps up quickly. While the trophy list is straight forward, and the game does feature a relatively short platinum time, trophy hunters should note that a few events are particularly challenging. While most aren't hard to locate, there are a lot of tokens to track with no way to know if or more importantly where, you may have missed one. Unfortunately this game has a total of 1724 tokens spread out over the 72 Challenges, but no in-game tracker. There are also tokens to be collected along the way. Medal goals vary depending upon the Challenge with the top medal requiring the fastest time, highest speed, most destruction, most points etc. You will need to clear all Challenges, eventually achieving 3 medals in each Challenge. There are 4-5 event types for each team, spread over 6 levels, 18 total Challenges per team. Each team has it's own style - Green is Speed, Blue is Precision, Red is Trick and Yellow is Destruction. Hot Wheels: World's Best Driver is an arcade style racer where you compete in a series of Challenges for 4 different teams.
